Today I am thrilled to be sharing my review of The Liars by Naomi Joy. Happy publication day Naomi!
About the book:
Two Women. One Deadly Secret. A rivalry that could destroy them!
Ava Wells is perfect. She has the boyfriend, the career, the looks. But one night changes everything and her life suddenly isn’t so seamless.
Jade Fernleigh is ambitious. She’s worked hard to get where she is. And she’s not about to let Ava take the job she rightly deserves.
Office rivalry has never been so intense as in this debut novel from Naomi Joy.
Both women share a secret that could destroy them, but who will crumble first?
Ava and Jade once friends but now fierce competitors share a secret that if revealed could have dire consequences for both women.
Their mutual friend Olivia, who has tragically died of a drug overdose is the cause of this rift in their friendship and they were both with Olivia before she died. What really happened that night and are Ava and Jade to blame for Olivia’s death?
Now vying for the same promotion at work, Ava appears to have the upper hand due to a new closeness with the boss who just happens to be Olivia’s father, but Jade is not going to give up without putting up one hell of a fight to claim what she believes she is entitled to after years of hard work and will do anything to make sure she gets the job.
But how far is Jade going to go and is the secret she shares with Ava going to push her over the edge!
Do I recommend this book:
As a first time novel for Naomi Joy this book makes for a great read and what an ending!!
I look forward to reading more books from Naomi in the future.
Thank-you to NetGalley, Aria Fiction and Naomi Joy for allowing me to read an advanced copy of The Liars in exchange for an honest review.
All opinions are my own and are not biased in anyway.
