Why does someone want the Lawrence family dead?
The Lawrence’s were the perfect family; successful, beautiful, and happy until one night their whole world was ripped apart.
Detective Sergeant Jenna Morgan is called to investigate the suspected arson attack and death of the Lawrence family at the charred remains of their stunning home, Kimble Hall.
The case takes a sinister turn as the body count fails to tally. Suspecting that someone may have survived the inferno, DS Morgan and her team need to discover whether they have a witness, or someone far more dangerous.
Who set the fire? Who wanted this family extinguished beyond recognition?
As the case progresses, DS Morgan realises she has a calculating, cold-blooded killer on her hands, and the race is on to track them down before they kill again.
Oh my goodness what a thrilling book What She Saw is! I am still breathless and I finished it a while ago! I actually couldn’t start this review until I got all my thoughts together, otherwise it would have been a jumble of words making no sense what so ever!
Diane Saxon has created a story that is definitely not for the faint hearted. There were a few times where I had to stop and put it down to catch my breath, but it had me so hooked that I couldn’t tear myself away from it for too long. It really is one rollercoaster of a ride that will leave you shaken to the core!
Diane Saxon kicks off the story in spectacular fashion and from there, it just keeps getting better as it goes along. It moves at a fast pace and had me furiously flicking the pages to see how it was all going to unfold. It has been very well researched and although at times I did find it could be just a bit too descriptive, this didn’t take away from my enjoyment of it.
The story is the third in the Detective Sergeant Jenna Morgan series and is easily able to be read as a standalone. Diane Saxon does touch on the previous stories and gives enough information to be able to follow along and it has definitely made me want to go back and read the other two books that’s for sure. Jenna is a great character who I look forward getting to know more about.
I can’t believe I haven’t been exposed to and read a book from Diane Saxon before What She Saw and I have to thank Rachel from Rachel’s Random Resources for introducing me to her work. I am now so eager to devour everything that she has written when I can.
Everything about What She Saw just works. The striking cover which immediately draws you to it, a strong plot, a diverse bunch of characters, that all are brought together through writing that is just so engaging, really does make What She Saw an exceptional read and is one that I recommend.
Thank you to Diane Saxon, Boldwood Books and NetGalley for allowing me to read an advanced copy of What She Saw, which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.
This review will be added to, Goodreads, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, Amazon Australia & Amazon US. I will also add to NetGalley, Apple Books, Kobo, Google Play, Barnes & Noble & Waterstones if available. As I am from Australia, I am unable to add to Amazon UK.
