Have you ever been wrong about someone?

Juno was wrong about Winnie Crouch.

Before moving in with the Crouch family, Juno thought Winnie and her husband, Nigel, had the perfect marriage, the perfect son ― the perfect life. Only now that she’s living in their beautiful house, she sees the cracks in the crumbling facade are too deep to ignore.

Still, she isn’t one to judge. After her grim diagnosis, the retired therapist simply wants a place to live out the rest of her days in peace. But that peace is shattered the day Juno overhears a chilling conversation between Winnie and Nigel…

She shouldn’t get involved.

She really shouldn’t.

But this could be her chance to make a few things right.

Because if you thought Juno doesn’t have a secret of her own, then you were wrong about her too.

The Wrong Family is a dark and interesting read, quite unlike one I have ever read of this nature. I normally have a quick glance at the reviews of a book I am about to start reading, but with this one my instincts told me not to and I am glad that I listened to them. It really is best going in with just the blurb.

The Wrong Family is a slow burn, but it’s intriguing storyline and my need to know how the tale was going to unfold, was my motivation to keep flicking the pages. Once it got just over the half way mark, for me, this is when things start to kick off at more of a faster pace, which in turn had me more invested in the story.

This is my first book that I have read from Tarryn Fisher and I will definitely read more from her. Her writing is engaging, she knows her audience well and keeps you guessing throughout. The development of the characters is top notch and she had its main two leads fighting for the title of who is the most unreliable narrator, which really messed with my head.

The Wrong Family is a twisty psychological thriller that has been well written and executed. The characters are strong, there are no loose ends and the epilogue brings with it a satisfying conclusion. All up, even with the blip in its pacing, this is an enjoyable and entertaining read.

Thank you to Tarryn Fisher, Harlequin Australia and NetGalley for allowing me to read an advanced copy of The Wrong Family, which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

This review will be added to, Goodreads, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, Amazon Australia & Amazon US. I will also add to NetGalley, Apple Books, Kobo, Google Play and Barnes & Noble if available. As I am from Australia, I am unable to add to Amazon UK, but will post to Waterstones & Foyles if also available.
